· Niños, CASA, Salamanca, España (2002)

First of all, the viewer finds himself before a corridor reminiscent of that of an old hotel. As he is walking through this corridor, on both sides, he discovers a series of closed doors. Then, at the end of the corridor, he finds an open door leading to a public toilet. When he crosses the threshold, the viewer enters a scene where two children are staring at each other in the reflection of the mirror. The installation has a closed circuit camera which is noticed by the visitor because of the noises and whispers surrounding him but, above all, because of a girl’s voice that drags him towards another door with a repeating sentence: “I am here, can’t you see me?” When the viewer comes into this third space he finds a corridor full of wire that looks like a store room for low-tech gadgets. At the end there is a kind of image processing lab, with several video players and a screen showing an image of the toilet previously crossed and inside it, looking at the viewer through the camera, the girl that took him there. When the visitor returns to the place where the girl is supposed to be, he finds no one.
